Estonia’s national innovation lab Accelerate Estonia is looking for a new Head of Business Development to take our moonshot ideas to the next level by opening and creating whole new markets.
What is Accelerate Estonia?
Accelerate Estonia is Estonia’s national innovation lab, which runs one-of-a-kind experiments with collaboration between the public and the private sector, in which we remove regulatory barriers so that new markets can be created for entrepreneurs and systemic challenges can be fixed for the government.
We help businesses understand market needs so that together we can find pain points in regulation and governance which need intervention so that creation of new markets can take place.
What will be your role?
The Head of Business Development is in charge of creating the plausible business model roadmaps for the companies participating in Accelerate Estonia. You will have the chance to manage the innovation lab’s companies testing and implementation processes during their stay in Accelerate Estonia and designing new market conditions within those verticals.
You will also lead in recruiting new businesses into Accelerate Estonia and enable companies to reach new international markets and attract investments once they have completed their pilots with Accelerate Estonia.
Who are we looking for?
If you have extensive experience working with/in scale-up level startups, opening new markets and launching whole new verticals – this challenge might be for you. We consider this role within our team one which you can’t study for – it is something that comes with extensive experience within the startup and business ecosystem. If you have touched the public sector within your career in some aspect, that will definitely help, but is not a necessity. We need you to take the leading role in pushing Accelerate Estonia’s experiments with their business plans, investment strategies and pilot roadmaps.
